Hi Amber, welcome to planDisney!
I hope you experienced countless magical memories on your recent Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Chances are many of those moments were captured by Disney PhotoPass photographers, which means they can be viewed in your
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Photos) or
online. These photos expire 45 days from the date they were taken. Let's go over the process of activating your Memory Maker entitlement so you can download your memories before the proverbial clock strikes midnight.
You made a wise choice purchasing
Memory Maker, Amber. Memory Maker is my favorite souvenir because it includes unlimited downloads of all Disney PhotoPass media, including attraction photos and Magic Shots. Once purchased, that Memory Maker entitlement sits in your My Disney Experience account until activated. Once activated, you have 30 days to download all desired media that appears in your My Disney Experience account. Consider this your notification - it's time to activate Memory Maker!
To activate your Memory Maker entitlement, click on any photo in your My Disney Experience mobile app. The image will appear with a watermark, and that's ok. Select the "Activate My Photos" option followed by the green "Activate" button that appears under the reminder that Memory Maker starts immediately and allows downloads for 30 days. Once activation is complete, the watermark will automagically disappear and you will have the ability to Edit, Save, and Share all your photos.
During my Walt Disney World Resort vacations, I'm selective about which photos I download and share on social media. After my vacations, I go
online and download them all to my laptop. To download all of your vacation photos at once, make sure "Include Family & Friends" is selected at the top right of the webpage. Next, hover over an image and click the check mark at the top right of the image so it turns from gray to green. Once an image is selected, scroll to the top of the page and click the "Select all visible media" box that appears, followed by the blue "Download" button.
At the risk of being repetitive, please remember Memory Maker gives you 30 days to download your images and that Disney PhotoPass media expire 45 days after they are taken. Each photo's expiration date appears underneath a selected image, as well.
I hope this information helps your magical memories make it to your hard drive, Amber. When you're ready to plan Disney again, be sure to planDisney!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
