    Hi Diane..we have booked a cruise for March 2012. Would like to stay at DW resort for 3 days before hand. We are on a budget now. There will be me, DS(17), DS(9) and my mother. Which would be better...2 rooms at Pop Century or Cabins at Fort Wilderness?

    Hello and welcome back to the Moms Panel! First, thank you so much for your question. I hope I can really help as you continue planning for your 2012 Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line vacation. Both resorts are FABULOUS! You will not go wrong with either resort. Now since you did indicate that you are on a budget, I would highly recommend staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort. First, you will be traveling during peak season and prices rates will be high. Second, you will never be in your room since, I am sure, you will be visiting the parks. Of course, you will be looking at a price difference between the two resorts. Pop Century, at this time, is running at $129 per night for one room. The Cabins are running at $370. Please keep in mind that these are 2011 rates. Even If you were to grab two rooms at Pop Century, you would still see a savings compared to the Cabins. You may want to look at staying in one room at Pop Century since rooms do accommodate up to 4 guests. This would be just another way to save, but I certainly understand if you need your space. I have some boys and the rooms get smaller and smaller with every visit. I would leave the Cabins for a future visit when you are planning to spend at least a full week in the Walt Disney World Resort area. Remember, price rates may change for 2012.
