Hello Diane. I have two questions we are wanting to come the week of oct 16-23 and free dinind plan is not offered why? Do you think this week will be blocked if they over the room discounts or buy 5 nights get 2 nights free? Thank you Luv the Panel!

    Hi Melodi,

As a business, Disney needs to keep a steady stream of guests visiting their parks throughout the year.  Of course, there are slower periods when people simply don't travel as frequently: right after school starts, after the long holiday breaks, etc.

The folks at Disney usually come up with some incredibly great deals, like free dining, to entice guests to vacation during these slower weeks.

Although I can't be one hundred percent certain, I'm assuming that during the week you want to travel, enough guests are projected that there isn't a need to offer the promotion.

As far as your second question, you never know.  It's possible that a last minute deal could be offered to include this week, but I wouldn't count on it.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
