    Diane, thanks for the info on planning our first cruise! We will need to plan around school, and are looking at spring break 2016. How soon will itineraries/bookings open for 2016? And what destinations would you recommend for that time of year? Thx again!

    I'm happy to hear the planning info was helpful! Sounds like you're like us and have to plan travel when the kids are out of school. No worries, Disney Cruise Line always has plenty of sailings and itineraries available in the spring. You're sure to find the perfect cruise for the dates you're looking for!

    At this time, sail dates are scheduled through December 2015. The best way to keep up-to-date and informed about the latest news and announcements from Disney Cruise Line is to follow them through their social media outlets. The Disney Cruise Line page on the Disney Parks Blog is a great source of information, and usually the first place to make an announcement regarding new itineraries/bookings when they become available. I also encourage you to follow DCL on Facebook and Twitter.

    Spring is a wonderful time to cruise, with great temps and pretty weather. This year, DCL offered several cruises to the Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas - all wonderful choices for that time of year. Once you know the dates you can choose from, you can decide on the length of your cruise and which ports of call you'd like to visit. (We always choose a sailing that visits Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, if we can. We love it there!)

    Like Tom Petty once said, "The waiting is the hardest part"! I'm a planner, and I want to make vacation plans as soon as possible. Don't worry, it won't be long before you'll be able to book your magical voyage with Captain Mickey!
