Hi Diane! What are your restaurant suggestions for each park? We will be doing one sit down, character meal, reservation, etc a day. Thanks

    Hi Channa,

Dining is one of my favorite things about a Walt Disney World vacation.  There are so many options with great atmosphere.  Which restaurant to choose really depends on what kind of experience you are looking for: fine dining, unique experiences, character dining, etc.  The Walt Disney World Resorts also have some great restaurants that should be considered.  Here are a few of my favorite table service restaurants for a day spent in each of the 4 main parks.

Epcot: Akershus - if you have any princess fans, this is the spot.  Breakfast is my favorite meal served here.  Teppan Edo, Biergarten, and Via Napoli are all great choices if you're looking for lunch or dinner options.

Hollywood Studios: 50s Prime Time Cafe is fun, fun, fun.  Although another option to consider with a large party like yours is the Fantasmic! Meal Package.  For no extra charge, you make lunch or dinner reservations at one of 3 restaurants, and you are given a VIP voucher for Fantasmic!  Mama Melrose's is my favorite restaurant for this option.

Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh is a must do for our family.  Liberty Tree Tavern is also fun.  Actually, we love to head over to either 'Ohana at the Polynesian or Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge for dinner.  Both restaurants offer great food with fun for the entire family.  These are awesome choices for large groups.

Animal Kingdom: Tusker House now has character dining for breakfast AND lunch.  Since Animal Kingdom closes early, this is a great day to head to Downtown Disney in the evening.  T-Rex is a family favorite - the menu is similar to Rainforest Cafe.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
