Hi Diane, just read your answer about the Mickeylodean Icecream @ Plaza Rest. @M.K. Can we use the mealplan snack for this item? Do we need reservations or can we just go in to get the icecream? My 6yr old daughter would love to have this for a treat!

    Hi Elizabeth --

The Plaza Restaurant is included in the dining package.  It is considered a quick service restaurant, so reservations are not needed.  The Mickeylodean is a dessert choice on the children's menu and is part of a meal.  So you may want to plan on eating lunch at the Plaza Restaurant, and your daughter can enjoy it as a happy ending to her lunch or dinner.

Having said that, the cast members at Disney are usually very accommodating, and I'm sure you could probably just purchase the "Mickeylodean" alone.  I just don't know if it would be considered a snack option.  Usually snacks are items that cost under $4.00 -- I'm not sure of the a la carte price on this item, but it's worth asking.

Main Street Ice Cream Parlor also has a similar option.  It's not a sundae, but an ice cream cone with chocolate ears.  This was available as a snack option on my family's last vacation.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
