Hi Diane ~ I just made an 8:30 reservation for a 5/25 carriage ride (Wishes is at 9pm) leaving from Crockett's Tavern. They could not guarantee that we would see Wishes or what the 'route' would be. Do you know anything more about this?

Hi Amy - thanks for your question.  Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much I can help you with this one!  I did answer a question about this topic in January.  When I called WDW-PLAY to research, I was told that if you reserve the time slot 30 minutes prior to Wishes, the driver of the carriage will stop by the beach for the viewing of Wishes.

I did reach out to panelist Whitney for additional advice as she is quite familiar with Fort Wilderness.  Her feeling is the driver of your carriage will do what he/she can to accommodate your request.

As far as the route, Whitney also mentioned it varies.  You will definitely go around some of the campsite loops, especially if you have a carriage ride during the holidays when the campsites are decorated.
