Hi Diane, I'm also from RI and planning 1st trip with our 3 yr.old. Have you use the dining plan? Can you use table service for counter service if you "run out" of counter service points? I may be concerned over nothing.

    Hi Liz,

Yes! I have used the dining plan, and you'll be happy to know that you can use your table service credits for counter service meals.  However, to get the best value out of your dining plan, I would recommend using all of your table service credits at table service restaurants.  Character meals are included in the dining plan, and this is one area where our family really saves money.

If you do run out of counter service credits, you can also pay out of pocket for a meal.  I find that most quick service meals are fairly inexpensive compared to table service options, so this is what I would choose to do.

Please note that you cannot use Quick Service credits in lieu of Table Service credits.

Have a magical vacation, and don't forget to stop at guest relations in the parks and ask for a "1st Visit" button.  You never know what extra magic may be in store for you and your family!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
