Hi Diane! My husband and I are planning our trip for next year. We can't decide between a regular beach club room with king bed, or a beach club studio villa. Pros/cons of hotel vs. studio villa? Definitely want a balcony. Thanks for your advice!

    Hi Trisha,

Wow, that's a tough decision!  We've stayed at the Beach Club many times, and during our last visit we were in a studio villa.  I have to say, it wasn't as enjoyable as our other visits.  However, we do have a family of 5, so it was a little crowded.  With just two people, it is probably a wonderful place to stay.  If a balcony is that important to you, then you might want to go with the studio -- I believe every studio has a balcony.  It's also nice having the kitchenette, although with 2 adults you might not really need it.  We used it mostly for cleaning bottles, making cereal, etc.

If the balcony is the most important thing about the room, go for the studio. With the exception of the kitchenette, the rooms are nearly identical.  If it were me, I would take the king size bed and take my chances with the balcony.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
