Hi Diane so glad that you are one of the panel moms as I too live in a house full of boys. I have 3 boys all same ages as yours. I am wondering how I can save on food expenses. Unfortunately I am unable to take advantage of the meal plans offered.

Hello Laurieann!  Thank you so much for your question and I hope I can offer you some good advice. So, let us see what we can do to keep the boys happy.
There is nothing like being in a house filled with boys.  If your boys are anything like mine, food is never far from their minds.  Although I really do enjoy the Disney Dining Plan, there have been times where we have had to pass it up as well.  The great thing about Walt Disney World, is that you are allowed to bring in your own food items.  I love to pack sandwiches, crackers, bags of chips and fruit snacks.  I am able to fit these items into a backpack.  It is really easy to carry the food around and my boys always take turns with the backpack.  We sometimes rent a locker in order to store our items for a very small fee.  You are also allowed to take in a small soft-sided cooler if you would like to bring along drinks.  I would bring plastic bottles and utilize the recycling bins.  Glass bottles must be avoided as well as alcoholic beverages.   Of course, please dispose of your items properly once you are finished.  You know I had to add that in.  My boys are looking over my shoulder.  LOL :0)
Now, if you are looking to just purchase food items at the park, you are in luck.  There are a lot of great meals offered throughout the parks.  We always have "brunch"  which usually carries us to dinner.  At that time, we will have a sit down counter service meal.  My boys always feel full and ready to tackle the evening.  We may have a small snack somewhere between "brunch" and dinner.  Again, I may bring this snack along or just purchase a pretzel or turkey leg.  These are family favorites!
I hope this helps and offers you some ideas.  Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions dealing with THE BOYS!  If you think of any great ideas on feeding your boys, please let me know.  I am always ready for some new ideas that can make my life easier.  May your trip be magical!
