Hi Diane. I have a ds (7) and dd (2) arriving Sat am by 10 am staying until sat afternoon flight ( 7nights 8 days) have 7 day hopper. what would you reccommend for which prks which day. 2 in mk, 1 in ak and not sure about the rest?

    Hi Melissa,

If you asked each panelist which parks to visit on certain days, you would get 16 different answers.  I'm going to let you know what my plan would be, and you can go from there.
    • Saturday - Magic Kingdom. There's something magical about starting off a Disney vacation in the Magic Kingdom.  The park may be extremely crowded this time of year, so don't plan on this being a day when you ride EVERY attraction.  Instead, enjoy the atmosphere: parades, street performers, fireworks.
    • Sunday - Animal Kingdom.  We like to ride Kilimanjaro Safari first thing in the morning when the animals seem more active.
    • Monday - Epcot
    • Tuesday - Magic Kingdom
    • Wednesday - Epcot.  If you are a resort guest, Take advantage of the Extra Magic Hour at Hollywood Studios.  Start your day there and ride Toy Story Midway Mania.  When the park gets crowded, head back to your hotel for a nap or break.  Spend the second half of the day in Epcot.
    • Thursday - Hollywood Studios.  Again, start in Magic Kingdom and take advantage of the Extra Magic Hour.  After a break, head to the Studios.
    • Friday - Animal Kingdom
    • Saturday - spend some time exploring the fun shops in Downtown Disney.  My kids could spend hours between the Lego Imagination Center and Goofy's Candy Co.
I recommend making dining reservations for at least one character dining event.  Also, take a break at some point each day.  Getting away from the crowds and recharging will help keep everyone in a good mood.

    Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
