Hello Diane! My daughter is turning fifteen next summer and she decided to go to WDW with two of her friends and my husband and I. I was told you would be the go to mom. Do you have any essentials that I should follow to make this trip a bit more magical?

Hi Stephanie - thanks for your question! As Disney Mom Cathy mentioned, I did indeed bring my daughter and three friends to Walt Disney World to celebrate her 16th birthday - had a blast!

If you haven't picked a resort yet, we found the Art of Animation to be a perfect choice. The photo opportunities throughout the resort are endless. I had my own bedroom (with a master bath) and the girls had the rest of the suite, with a second bathroom, to themselves - just enough to give them privacy to be silly girls. I loved to hear them sing at night just before they fell asleep! I also packed some decorations from the party store to decorate the room and door to our suite.  If you decide to decorate, be sure to pack some non-stick wall hooks - such as 3M command strips. You'll want to make sure your decorations don't damage the walls and these work great!

Throughout the week, I did arrange for some surprises to be delivered to the room from Disney Florist. Disney Mom Kay also surprised us with a couple treats from the florist including a walking Mickey balloon. Fun!  I have also used Cookies by Design in the past and arranged for them to deliver a cute Disney-themed cookie bouquet which the girls really enjoyed!

Be sure to sign up for PhotoPass+ before your vacation - you are going to want to have these memories on a CD to last for a lifetime! My girls decided to dress up alike at times which made the pictures extra fun. I also let them go off on their own at times and it was fun for me to see those pictures after we got home.

Stephanie - I could go on and on but unfortunately we have limited space we can use in our answers.  If you'd like to write back, I'd be happy to tell you about our dining experiences and what I would do differently.  I hope your daughter's birthday is super magical!
