I am a diabetic and we are going the end of September. My question is on water rides how do you keep your feet from getting wet because with all the walking I don't want sores to come on my feet if they are wet and in tennis shoes?

    Hi Jill,

There's nothing like a wet pair of socks and sneakers to put a damper on a fun day.  Do you find that waterproof sandals work well for you?  On hot days, I like to wear my Keene's or Teva sandals to the parks because they dry very quickly and have arch support so my feet don't tire over the course of the day.  However, if you feel your feet would do better in sneakers with socks I would recommend throwing a pair of lightweight sandals in your shoulder bag for the day.  Then, when you are ready to tackle a wet ride like Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids, just slip on the sandals for that ride and change back into sneakers afterwards.  That will keep your feet happy and healthy during your Walt Disney World vacation.

Best wishes for a magical trip!

    Jill
