Will b at DHS on a crowded Fri. Can do a 1.5 hr break (in addition to meals), but won't make sense 2 leave and move car. Isn't there a boat that goes to Epcot? A nice cool ride 2 leave the park? Is there a cool quiet resting place AT DHS? Thanks!

    Hi Christine!

You have a wonderful idea to take a break in the afternoon on your Hollywood Studios touring day!  There are boats that go from Hollywood Studios to Epcot and they are called Friendship Boats.  The voyage takes about 20 minutes each way and the boats make stops at The Boardwalk Resort, the Swan and Dolphin Resorts, and and the Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts along the way.  It is a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful journey on the Friendship Boats (this is one of my most favorite things to do in Walt Disney World).  I would recommend stopping at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop (an old-fashioned soda fountain featuring American grill favorites) in the Beach Club Resort for an incredible lunch.  You can also choose to stay in Hollywood Studios at the Writer's Stop. The Writer's Stop is a gift shop, bookstore, pastry, and coffee shop all rolled into one, located right around the corner from the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater.  The Writer's Stop is air conditioned and it has some couches and chairs to relax on.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
