My 6yo dgtr is nervous about rides but is saying she wants to go on Splash Mountain, River Rapids, Soarin' and the Haunted Mansion. How scary/thrilling are these? She likes Snow White's Scary Adventure and the teacups, etc but I'm not sure about these.Thks

    Hi Helene!

It really depends on your child.  My (soon-to-be) 6 year old son's favorite ride is The Haunted Mansion!!  Of course, we don't see it as the 'spooky ghost ride'--but the silly dancing ghost ride.  The stretching room is loud (right before you exit), so we usually cover their ears, but other than that, it's pretty harmless.

Splash Mountain is fun, and only has one big drop which can be very intense.  We let our 5.5 year old survey it last time and he passed...maybe this year!

Soarin' is one our our favorites, and my 5.5 year old enjoys it too.  If you want to stay closer to the ground, just speak with one of the Cast Members before loading and they'll get you taken care of.

Kali River Rapids is fun, but can be scary/intense for younger ones because of the 'seemingly' out of control nature of the raft.  Again, I'd let your daughter scope it out first and see what she thinks.

    Have a magical vacation!
