Hi Deborah,
Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I also enjoy taking part in experiences outside of the theme parks while at Walt Disney World. Let me share some of my favorites with you.
I am glad that you will be visiting Disney Springs. There is so much new shopping and dining at Disney Springs! I also have a couple of old favorites at this area.
La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil is amazing. The feats of acrobatics and beauty are amazing.
Characters in Flight is another unique experience. Rising high in this tethered helium balloon, you can see so much of Walt Disney World.
One of my favorite places to spend a day at Walt Disney World is at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. The
recreation options at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground are numerous and exciting, from archery to horseback riding at Tri-Circle-D Ranch to a backwoods Segway tour. After a day of activities, you can have a delicious dinner at Trail's End Restaurant, or take in a high-energy dinner show at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
Finally, for a truly special experience outside of a theme park, consider booking a
specialty cruise. There are many different options available, including those to include a viewing of fireworks.
I hope that these suggestions are helpful for you, Deborah. Have a great time planning your Walt Disney World vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
