I have a Developmentally Disabled son in his twenties, are there any programs for mentally disabled young adults?

    Hi, Laura!

Although there isn't any specific programming for young adults with special needs, there is certainly accommodation. For instance, visit the counselors in the youth areas on Embarkation Day and allow your son to interact with them. Should he be able to come and go without one-on-one supervision, he may be able to visit the teen area on his cruise without any problem. Yet, this decision will probably need to be determined on board, and there are no guarantees.

In addition, since he is of age, he is welcome to enjoy the adult areas with you -- adult dining at Palo, relaxing at the Quiet Cove Pool or celebrating the evening at the bars, clubs and lounges. Plus, there are many activities to enjoy as a family such as deck parties, character greetings, movies, Broadway-style shows and themed dining.

Let me know if you think of any more questions for me. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
