Hello, Rachael!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your question as you are getting ready for your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Planning the details of our visit is almost as fun as being there!
From 1999 to part of 2007,
Leave A Legacy was a way for Guests to have their photos etched into a metal tile and displayed at EPCOT. Did you know that even the members of the boy band 'NSYNC have their own Leave A Legacy tiles? While the large panels are no longer featured in the courtyard before
Spaceship Earth, they have been moved between the touchpoints at the main entrance of the park.
Once you arrive, there is a QR code available to scan with your phone to use the new tile finder search feature and find your tile. There are instructions on the signs at the end of each panel, but if you need any assistance in finding your Leave A Legacy tile, you can also ask the
EPCOT Guest Relations team for assistance.
While there isn't anything quite like Leave A Legacy currently offered in the parks, you will find an augmented reality version with
Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories at Magic Kingdom Park. Guests are able to pin one of their
Disney PhotoPass Service photos to a spot on a virtual Cinderella Castle (for a small fee) and see it through the My Disney Experience Mobile App for years to come. Once you arrive and download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you'll be able to follow the steps to leave your memory. I love seeing everyone's fairytale photos during my visits.
Have a wonderful vacation, Rachael. Please come see us again if you have any other questions about your trip.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
