Which dessert party is better? The Star Wars or Magic Kingdom? The children are 9 and 7. Star Wars only has 8:15 seating. Is that too late?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa!

Fireworks dessert parties are a “sweet” way to end a busy day at Walt Disney World Resort! Both Fireworks Dessert parties you have mentioned are great! Here are a few things to consider when making your decision!

    1) Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party serves fun, themed alcoholic drinks. There are no alcoholic drinks at the Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party.

    2) There are TWO versions of the Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party, one is at Tomorrowland Terrace and includes an actual chair to view the show, the other has Plaza Garden Viewing, and you will be “seated” in the AstroTurf grass in front of Cinderella Castle. Cast Members will escort you to your viewing area after the Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.

    3) Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party has desserts served inside Star Wars Launch Bay and you will then be escorted to a standing room only VIP viewing area approximately 15 minutes before the show starts.

As for the start time, I would say that you know your kids best! I know that my kids would stay up WAY past their bedtimes if it meant dessert and an out of this world fireworks extravaganza! As Happily Ever After is a new offering, there might be quite a few people wanting to attend. By taking part in a Dessert Party, you have a reserved area to view the show and to avoid the crowds!

You really can’t go wrong with either choice!

    Have a magical vacation,
