Can you just get dessert at beaches and cream? Do you need a reservation for dessert only?

Ahoy there, Pamela!  How sweet of you to stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I would be delighted to discuss the most important "meal" of the day with you.

A meal, snack, or dessert at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop has been a must-do on my family's Walt Disney World visits for years. In fact, I believe this dining establishment was a contributing factor to my parents' choice of Disney's Beach Club Resort as our "home" during the majority of my childhood vacations. When I became a parent, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop was where we celebrated my son's first birthday, and we have fantastic photos of his very first scoop of ice cream here.

While my family enjoys many of the savory lunch and dinner offerings here, (I can practically smell those delicious burgers) I am happy to report that you can absolutely make a reservation and just order from the dessert menu. I do recommend making an Advanced Dining Reservation, as Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a very popular spot.

If you prefer to be spontaneous, you may have luck securing a last minute walk-up table or a seat at the counter during off-peak dining times, such as between 2:00 and 4:00. Just speak with a Cast Member at the check-in desk who will see about accommodating your party. In addition, a to-go menu of ice cream and beverages is also available from a takeout window, and you can even enjoy your goodies al fresco, overlooking Stormalong Bay. Keep in mind that some dessert menu items are exclusively served inside the restaurant.

I can't wait for you to dig into some tasty treats at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. If you have a peanut butter lover in your group, the No Way José sundae is a must try. My personal favorite is the Fudge Mud Slide sundae: brownies, Oreos, hot fudge, and vanilla ice cream. I can't think of a better dessert combination! If your party is feeling especially hungry, get your spoons and stomachs ready for the Kitchen Sink, Walt Disney World's most memorable dessert experience!

Pamela, I hope you have a delicious adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If there is anything else we can help you with as your vacation approaches, please come back and see us again.

    See ya real soon!
