Hi. Despite some so-so reviews I read about the Caribbean Beach (its rather small food court, huge layout, etc.) could you please share with me your TOP 5 reasons why I should pick this resort for my next stay - with my 13 yr old and her grandparents? :-)

    Hi Jennifer!

We just stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort after a 9 year absence last trip.  We enjoyed it very much!  Here's our top five:

    1.  The relaxed island feel:  I really felt in NO hurry to get anywhere while we were there!  We enjoyed the walks from our room to Old Port Royale.

    2.  The pool area:  we enjoyed swimming there, and my little ones really enjoyed the pirate themed splash area

    3.  The Pirate Themed rooms:  wonderfully FUN!

    4.  The bike and boat rentals:  a great relaxing way to spend your vacation

    5.  It's close location to Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Boardwalk!

If you are concerned about the walk to Old Port Royale, make sure you book a preferred room.  Our rooms were not in a preferred building, but not terribly far away.  Also, do not book a pirate room as those are located the furthest away--a compromise for having such cool-looking accommodations!

    Have a magical vacation!
