Hi, there!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sharon. We're glad to see you! As someone who is directionally-challenged, I very much sympathize with your question. I have the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort figured out, but don't get me started on airports - shew! I'm happy to help.
My first tip is to visualize the theme parks as wheels. Each "land" is kind of like a spoke to a "hub" in the middle. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, for example, the Tree of Life is the hub with spokes extending to the Oasis, Pandora - The World of Avatar, Africa, Asia, and DinoLand U.S.A. If you find yourself getting turned around, use the hub of the particular theme park you're in to straighten yourself out. Either walk directly towards it or walk around it.
Another tip is to use the My Disney Experience mobile app. This app has a really fantastic GPS-enabled map of the Walt Disney World Resort. You can filter the map by category; I find the "restrooms" filter exceptionally useful! If you'd prefer a map in-hand, download and print the Guide Maps for each theme park. Studying them before a visit may help you from getting lost again!
I hope this helps, Sharon!
