Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Danielle. I'm so glad you stopped by! It looks like your visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort is just around the corner. How exciting! I'm sure you're counting down the days with anticipation.
My daughter is a big fan of the Descendants films too. Just yesterday we had a Descendants dance party in the kitchen while she wore her Mal costume! It was R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S! While you won't currently find Descendants Characters or experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort, there are lots of "nods" to Mal and her evil friends from the Isle of the Lost. Let's chat about where to find them!
At
Magic Kingdom Park, be sure to catch the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. At the beginning of the parade, you'll see Ben's royal parents, Belle and the Beast. Near the end of the parade, you'll spot Maleficent, Mal's mother, dressed in her dragon best. One of my family's most favorite attractions in all of Walt Disney World Resort is
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. At the end of this thrilling race through a diamond mine, you'll catch a glimpse of Evie's mother, the Evil Queen, disguised as a wicked witch. In Adventureland, hop on a magic carpet on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. You won't see Jay or Jafar from up in the air, but you may see Jafar's nemesis, Aladdin, down below in Agrabah Bazaar with Princess Jasmine.
If you're able to, hop on over to
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. There you'll find a section of the resort dedicated to the film, 101 Dalmations. Carlos, Cruella de Vil's son, won't be around, and neither will Cruella (thank goodness!), but you will find really great photo ops with Pongo, Perdita, and some of their delightful, spotted pups.
I hope this was helpful, Danielle. Please let us know if you have any other questions about the Walt Disney World Resort! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
