    Hi Derek! My husband and I are celebrating our 2nd anniv on 1/14/14 in Epcot at San Angel Inn. I see that we can ask for a cake at select places, is this one of them? If so, can I call them that day so its a surprise for my husband? Thank you so much! :)

    Thank you so much for sending your question my way! I really appreciate it!

    Wow, dinner at the San Angel Inn Restaurante sounds like an awesome way to celebrate your anniversary. Not only am I a huge fan of the food there, but that's one of those restaurants where I love to have a leisurely meal without concern over the time. It's a perfect place to hang out and enjoy the company you're with!

    (So, I give you two thumbs up for your choice of restaurants!)

    I also really dig your idea of getting a special cake to celebrate the occasion. You're in luck because you certainly can get a special cake at the San Angel Inn Restaurante to surprise your husband! You have two main options:

    Option #1

    Tell your husband to browse around the Festival Marketplace (or even score a couple of Margaritas from the neighboring La Cava del Tequila) while you volunteer to check-in for your reservation. When you do, you can ask the host or hostess at the podium if you can have a "Celebration Cake" brought to your table at the end of the meal. 

    Those are 6-inch cakes that come in either chocolate or vanilla, but unfortunately, I don't think they can be customized.

    Option #2

    If you'd prefer a customized cake, you can wait until your husband isn't within an earshot and call the Cake Ordering Hotline at: (407) 827-2253. They'll hook you up with a whole bunch of options to choose from, but you have to call at least 2 business days (Monday-Friday) ahead of time so you can make all of the arrangements.
