How do i use deposit/hold i put down during my last cruise.

    Hi there, Dennis!

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with a great question regarding your onboard booking, or placeholder reservation, with Disney Cruise Line. I’m thrilled to hear that you had such a wonderful experience on your previous cruise that you took advantage of the exclusive offer for Guests onboard by securing a future placeholder reservation. Now, how to apply this discount and lock in a new cruise? Let’s look at the details together.

You can search your email for a confirmation from Disney Cruise Line, sent around the time of your previous cruise or shortly thereafter. This will come directly from Disney Cruise Line with the subject of “DCL Onboard Booking Confirmation for [reservation number] - Your Name.” I just found my last one with a simple keyword search of “onboard,” so hopefully yours will also easily float to the top of your emails with this guidance. Instructions are in this email but will direct you to call Disney to finalize your future cruise plans.

Whether you can locate that confirmation number or not, you must call Disney Cruise Line to apply this offer and finalize a specific itinerary; you are not able to use this confirmation number to book yourself online. If you didn’t find the confirmation number in your email, Disney will be able to find this buried treasure for you with some additional personal information.

I suggest you have a few dates, itineraries, and ships in mind when making this call so that you have a few options to look into together prior to finalizing. You can use the great search feature on the main Disney Cruise Line website and have an idea of general pricing, itineraries, and dates for your family. I love filtering by the length of cruise, departure port, and approximate sail date to narrow down my family's selections when planning. You will see your onboard booking savings applied once the final reservation is secured, so please use those search result prices as an approximation until you speak with Disney Cruise Line.

You have 24 months to sail from the date you placed the onboard booking, Dennis, so I hope you can find something amazing to experience soon! I also have a placeholder waiting to be used from my summer sailing to Alaska, and my family is considering sailing aboard the new Disney Treasure in 2025. These bookings begin opening this week, have you seen the incredible details of this brand-new ship?

I’m so glad you’re looking to take advantage of this special offer to make even more magical cruise memories together, and hope this guidance was helpful. Please remember that your deposit for the placeholder is fully refundable should you decide not to sail within two years of securing those savings.

Please let our planDisney cruise crew know how else we can help you decide on an itinerary or plan more details together once you have a new reservation. We’d love to help you make the most of this special sailing!

    Set a course for adventure,
