Holly from NC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

what is the deposit you have to make to go on a cruise? When do you have to pay in full?

    Ahoy Holly!

Welcome to the WONDERful World of planDisney! We are thrilled to help you as you embark on a MAGICal journey on the high seas with Captain Mickey. I love that you want to know all the particulars for making that DREAM reservation a reality and not just a FANTASY. So sound the Disney Cruise Line horn (naturally, it plays “When You Wish Upon a Star”) as we answer your awesome question!

Here’s how you can know for certain the deposit amount for any particular cruise. While on the Disney Cruise Line website, check out the Destinations List for available itinerary options. Guests can enter the number in their party and stateroom category for pricing. Once ready, they can add that sailing to their Shopping Cart. The Shopping Cart screen will then tell them the “Total Cruise Price” as well as the exact “Due Today Deposit” amount.

As for the final payment, be sure to check the details of your specific reservation for that date. Keep in mind that currently Disney Cruise Line is offering flexibility for sailings through July 2021 which includes temporarily extending due dates for final payment to 60 days prior to cruising.

While it is a wonderful option to defer the final payment in these uncertain times, I find that I am eager to make my final payment so that when my Advance Booking Window opens up, I can move forward with getting all my onboard activities lined up. Selections include spa treatments, specialty adult dining, Port Adventures, and Beverage Tastings...just a few of the things that can be booked in advance online.

Oh boy, just thinking about making those onboard activities has me all excited for our summer voyage! I hope you feel the same and cannot wait to set foot onboard for your adventure at sea. Since this may not be the only question you have about cruising, please sail back by if you think of anything else.

    Happy Sailing!
