Is a deposit required to reserve a golf cart at Fort Wilderness?

Howdy Barbara! Thanks for coming by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

We love to tool around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in our very own golf cart. It's the best way to get around this very large resort, and my son gets a kick out of riding shotgun as his dad drives (yeah, that means Mom sits in the back, but I don't mind).

You don't need to put down a deposit for a cart, but they do require a credit card number at the time you make your reservation. You can make your reservation up to a year ahead of time, and I recommend you do so as soon as you can since they do run out. We literally got the last cart on the lot on our last stay!

You'll find everything you need to know about reserving a golf cart for your stay on the Golf Cart Rental page on Disney's website.

I hope this helps you motor around Fort Wilderness in style, Barbara. Mosey on back if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
