    Will our deposit be refunded if for some reason we have to cancel?

    Hey there, ho there, ho there, Dona, and welcome to planDisney. Mickey understands that Guests have to change their vacation plans as life's unexpected events arise. So let us look at the fine print regarding Disney Hotel Packages as well as Disney Resorts Collection hotel room-only reservations.

    Refunds are based on the amount of time the reservation is canceled before checking in at the Disney Resorts Collection hotel as defined by the Walt Disney Travel Company Terms & Conditions of Walt Disney World Resort.

    For Disney Hotel Packages

    • Hotel cancellations made 30 days or more before check-in: Guests will be refunded the entire deposits or payments less 1) cancellation fees assessed by third-party vendors, 2) non-refundable runDisney race registrations, 3) non-refundable travel protection plan costs, and 4) other amounts owed
    • Hotel cancellations made 2 days to 29 days before check-in: Guests will be refunded the entire deposits or payments less 1) cancellation fees of $200.00 per vacation package (subject to change) and cancellation fees assessed by third-party vendors, 2) non-refundable runDisney race registrations, 3) non-refundable travel protection plan costs, and 4) other amounts owed
    • No refunds are given to cancellations made one (1) day or less before check-in

    For Room-Only:

    • Deposit is fully refundable if canceled 5 days before check-in 
    • Less than 5 days then a penalty of the first-night room rate is applied

    Other Deposits:

    • Please refer to the fine print of any confirmation emails as they vary from experience to experience

    planDisney Pro Tip: If you need to cancel within one of the penalty periods be sure to contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to see what your options are including changing your reservation to a time when you could visit. If you used a travel agent you will need to go through them for any changes.
