Hi, my deposit is paid. Next is to do exactly what?? 1st timer here.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Iris! I'm so excited for you that you're planning your very first trip to Walt Disney World Resort. I am a firm believer that at lot of the fun is in the planning, and there are a few things you can do in the months and weeks leading up to your trip to make sure you get the most out of your time while you're on vacation.

The next step is to take some time to look at the different restaurants and dining experiences, because beginning at 180 days before your arrival date you can use the My Disney Experience app to make reservations at all the places you'd like to try. There are a few super popular dining locations that tend to book up really quickly, like Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park so make sure you take the opportunity to make your reservations as soon you're able to if you'd like to dine with the Disney Princesses or have dinner in the Beast's enchanted castle! Since you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you also have the benefit of being able to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your arrival. You can use FastPass+ to skip the standby line for popular attractions like Avatar Flight of Passage or Slinky Dog Dash, but they book up fast so put that 60 day mark on your calendar!

    See ya real soon, Iris!

I'm a personal stylist and I live in Texas with my husband and our two rescue animals. We are Disney-obsessed and love enjoying all the magic that's out there especially for grown-ups. In fact, we even opted-out of a tropical honeymoon to spend a blissful week at Walt Disney World instead! I'm thrilled to be on the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I'm excited to share everything I've learned from all of our trips and help you plan a memorable family vacation.  Learn More About Jessica
