    Departures from Florida

    Ahoy, Anthony!

Welcome aboard planDisney! Planning a Disney cruise from Florida is a fantastic way to set sail on a magical vacation, and there are some great places to visit when your itinerary takes you through the Bahamas or Caribbean.

I may be a little unclear on exactly what you’re asking, so if I don’t quite get you the answer you were looking for, please come back to planDisney and let us make sure your adventure is shipshape!

Disney currently sails out of Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale when it comes to departing directly from Florida. The number of ships sailing from Florida depends on the time of year, but there are generally several ships departing from the area throughout the year. The Disney Destiny, Disney Treasure, Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Dream are currently planned for Florida departures, again depending on the season and specific sailing dates.

The Disney Cruise Line website is full of amazing details to help you navigate to the perfect itinerary for you and your crew. You can filter your search by the port or ports you would like to depart from, select the dates that fit your schedule, and use the other available filters to help find the sailing that’s right for you. I also recommend taking a look at the Ships Overview page so you can browse through each of the ships. Each one has its own personality and unique themes, so exploring the ships themselves may help narrow down your choices. Sometimes choosing the ship is just as important as choosing where it will take you!

Now, I did see that you selected a departure date of October. If you happened to have already booked your cruise and you’re looking for help with planning your arrival and embarkation day, I highly recommend checking out the Be in the Know Before You Go page. It walks you through those important details and helps make sure you have everything you need before you arrive at the terminal. Embarkation day has plenty of moving parts, so having a plan before you leave home can make the whole process much smoother.

Of course, if I missed the mark on what you were looking for, don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney with a little more information about your question. We’ll be happy to help you get your plans pointed in the right direction. You can also give Disney Cruise Line a call to speak with a friendly Cast Member who can help with your specific reservation.

I hope this helps you chart a course toward the right Florida departure and, hopefully, the perfect sailing for you and your crew. Whether you’re looking for a ship, an itinerary, or simply trying to figure out where your October adventure begins, we’ll be here at planDisney to help you navigate the waters!

Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
