Hello there, Rebecca! Thanks for sailing to planDisney with your question. Welcome!
You are speaking my language with a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort before your Disney Cruise vacation. When I'm that close to that much magic... I just can't help myself! I'm happy to share that yes, there are
ground transportation options available between Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Port Canaveral. You can
call Disney Cruise Line and ask to have a resort-to-port ground transfer added to your Disney Cruise Line reservation. The agents at Disney Cruise Line will be happy to assist you.
I've utilized the Disney Cruise Line transportation option numerous times, and have been happy with the hassle-free way to get from the airport or my resort hotel to the port. It's nice to leave the driving to Disney so you can arrive at the port refreshed, relaxed, and ready for the fun to begin (or continue). In general, the drive from the Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral is just over an hour long.
You can expect to receive an email the day before your scheduled transfer with information about when and where to meet at your resort for your pick-up. You will check in with a Disney Cruise Line agent, hand over your luggage, and step aboard your awaiting motor coach to be whisked away to your waiting Disney Cruise Line ship. It's so much fun when you spot the ship in the distance as you approach the port!
I'm wishing you well in your planning. If you have any further questions, please cruise back to us here at planDisney. We are ready and waiting to help!
