Jambo, Mark! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney from across the pond--I'm as pleased as can be to help with your vacation planning question. I'm sure you are counting down the days to your fall getaway at
Walt Disney World Resort, and like Pumbaa and Timon, I'll be your faithful sidekick to help track down the information you are looking for.
My husband and I stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village for the first time earlier this year and we just loved it! It is perhaps the most unique of the Disney Vacation Club resorts, with the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife on the Savannas throughout your stay. There is not much cooler than enjoying your morning coffee while watching giraffes, flamingos, and many other species wander by. As an added bonus, Kidani is home to
Sanaa, one of our family's favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World. The bread service is a must anytime we visit!
One of the best parts of DVC Membership is getting to enjoy magical vacations with friends and family. Since you're visiting with a group for a special occasion, of course you want to be close to maximize your time together!
Mark, it's a breeze to add a room request to your reservation. Simply contact Member Services via chat or phone and the lovely Cast Members can make a note on your reservation. In my experience, it's best to keep your requests more general--think "three Deluxe Studios as close together as possible", rather than requesting specific buildings or floors.
Another tip for your Kidani stay--you can easily enjoy the amenities at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House. There is a shuttle between the two resorts and a walking path. My girls love
Boma - Flavors of Africa, which features a bountiful African-inspired buffet for breakfast and dinner. If you're in the mood for something a bit more upscale,
Jiko - The Cooking Place offers a fine/signature dining experience with amazing cuisine. The wine selection here is also top-notch!
I hope that you and your family enjoy a wonderful vacation this fall, filled with magic and memories. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with any other questions about all things DVC and Walt Disney World.
Welcome Home!
Susan
