Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
My husband and I stayed at the beautiful Island Tower on our last visit and loved it so much we booked another room there for our upcoming trip. I'm sure you will love this gem, too! If you look closely at the description of a room category that's listed as Premium View--a Tower - Duo Studio - Premium View, for example--you'll see that these feature views of
Seven Seas Lagoon. This means that you'll be able to watch the various Disney watercraft come and go as well as see the gorgeous horizon above the expansive lagoon.
Preferred View notes guests will have views of the pool or golf course. To get a better understanding of the different Preferred Views, take a look at this map of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and scroll over to the Island Tower to the left. Preferred rooms with a golf course view will likely be facing
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course; those with views of the pool are likely to be more oriented to
Cove Pool and Moana's Voyage--both cozy recreation areas right at the base of the tower.
If you book your stay here, do not miss dining at
Wailulu Bar and Grill. Not only is the setting perfectly Polynesian, the food is absolutely outstanding. I loved the Short Rib Loco Moco and my husband really enjoyed his Wayfinder Burger. While I am always too full for dessert after a meal such as that, our server earnestly encouraged me to try the DOLE Whip Sundae--and I am so glad that he did! Not only is this light and delicious, it's truly a lovely feast for the eyes first. Okay, I also might have sampled a little of my husband's Chocolate Cake (salted caramel ganache, bananas, and coffee-infused Chantilly cream? Yes, please!) and it, too, was absolutely outstanding. Yum. Now I'm dreaming of a return just for that meal...
