Ashley: As the frugal one in my family, I understand, especially when some benefits of the Deluxe resorts aren't as tangible.
What may be helpful is to agree on your total vacation budget first. Then, make a list of what you want to get out of your vacation and see where you can agree. You may find some areas that aren't as important and where you might save so that you can make a compromise on the resort. For example, choosing a basic Magic Your Way ticket instead of a Park Hopper or getting the Quick Service Dining Plan instead of the Deluxe... Just like some folks who spend more money on a dress versus flowers for a wedding, some Disney guests spend more money on their resort than food... And although a bride may have a small budget, if she has dreamed of the perfect dress, she may choose to cut back in one area to allow her to splurge on the dress of her dreams. Your vacation budget is no different. Find what you value and spend your money there to create the memories that will make your vacation more of an investment in good memories and family togetherness. Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
