Hi there, Jill!
Welcome back to planDisney! Here it's never too early to begin planning your next visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, so it's a
practically perfect day to stop by!
Calling a
Disney Deluxe Resort hotel your magical home away from home will surely add a bit of pixie dust to your vacation. The immersive theming, proximity to beloved Walt Disney World Resort locations, and extended access to Walt Disney World's theme parks are sure to make it difficult to forego a deluxe stay during your next vacation. I'm especially grateful for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours during the summer months because they not only make it possible to enjoy some of Walt Disney World's most popular attractions with less wait but also to do so at a time when the temperatures are a bit cooler. My personal preference is to take advantage of both
Early Theme Park Entry and
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours so that I can enjoy a midday break by the pool during the warmest part of the day while still being able to check every item off my list of magical must-dos thanks to the
perks available to Guests of select Disney Resorts Collection hotels!
Currently, Guests who are eligible to attend Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at EPCOT have access to an additional 6 PM Virtual Queue for the wildly popular Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Although Guests are unable to join multiple
virtual queues for the same attraction in a single day during regular theme park hours, the 6 PM virtual queue is a delightful exception to this policy! I once sang, squealed, and danced aboard Cosmic Rewind three times in a single day by joining the 7 AM Virtual Queue, purchasing a
Lightning Lane Single Pass, and joining the 6 PM Virtual Queue. Even if it wasn't the
21st day of September, it will be a day I always remember!
Although I have utilized the 6 PM Virtual Queue to experience an attraction multiple times on the same day, I have never attempted to join the 6 PM Virtual Queue while still holding one that is yet to be redeemed, so this is an excellent question, Jill! I reached out to a helpful Cast Member for clarification on the policy, and he shared that Guests are unable to hold multiple virtual queues at one time even if the queue you are hoping to join is the exclusive 6 PM Virtual Queue. With this policy in mind, I would suggest joining a 7 AM Virtual Queue and foregoing the 1 PM option to ensure that you are able to join the 6 PM queue, or if you are unable to join the 7 AM queue and would like to join the queue at 1 PM, there is a chance that it will be called before 6 PM. If not, my experience is that the 6 PM Virtual Queue is not always immediately exhausted, so you might be able to join the queue at a later hour.
While I'm sure this is not the answer you were hoping for, Jill, my hope is that the information was helpful for you as you make your plans for each day. Of course, it's important to keep in mind that policies such as these are always subject to change, so I suggest verifying the current policy closer to your arrival. You're welcome to do that
here with us or with Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members. We're both happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
