Is the deluxe dining plan worth it?

    Hi, Leigh!

Whether the Deluxe Dining Plan is "worth it" depends on your travel plans. The Deluxe plan includes 3 meals per day. For some guests, this is a lot of food! For others, it is standard to enjoy 3 full meals per day. If you plan on breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day and will be booking buffets, character dining, and table service meals, then this will be the plan for you!

If you plan to book the Deluxe Dining Plan, make sure to book your Dining Reservations. You will want to get the most value for your money, so plan to use up all of your dining credits. Since you will have so many meal credits, book some fun dinner shows or Signature Dining experiences that require two meal credits. Remember that you also have 2 snack credits per day, so use those up as well.

You will also need to factor in how much time  you want to spend eating. I have teenagers, and they like to keep the day moving so we plan on just one table service meal per day, and then eat quick service on the go the rest of the time. For them, it is all about how many attractions they can squeeze into their day. If your plans include leisurely meals and relaxation, then booking reservations is a great idea. Schedule about 75-90 minutes per table service meal.

Good luck deciding and enjoy all the amazing dining locations in Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
