We got the Deluxe Dining Plan. There is 7 of us altogether, but we will be pay for our meals on two separate dining plans. All of our reservations are for 7, will we be charged 18% gratuities? Are tips left on the table or paid for at a cash register?

    Hi Kimberly,

If you will all be dining together at the same table, you'll be charged the automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. That is based on party size, not the number of checks at the table. If you have 2 separate checks, each one will have the 18% charge based on their individual tabs.

When your server presents you with your check, you'll give them your Key to the World card to pay for your meal. That Card holds your Disney Dining Plan credits. In addition, the gratuity charge will be on a separate check and you can choose to either have them charge it to your room (if you left a credit card at check in for incidentals) , give them a credit card at that time, or give them cash. You'll then sign the checks to redeem your Disney Dining Plan credits and have them subtracted from your account. Essentially, you are paying for the gratuity bill at the same time that you are using your credits.

    Have a wonderful vacation,
