We are going to be on the Deluxe Dining Plan. Can I pay out of pocket for my son to order a side item instead of using our meal credits at a signature restaurant? He will only order a baked potato, and it would be waste to use two meal credits.

    Hi Lori!

I'm so glad to hear you'll be taking advantage of the Disney Dining Plan on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. My husband and I love the ease and convenience of the dining plan, and he especially loves not having to pull his wallet out to pay for every meal! Having our dining already taken care of before we travel really helps us be able to relax and enjoy our vacation.

I understand you not wanting to use two table credits for your son if he's not planning to eat a full meal at a Signature Dining Restaurant. Signature Dining restaurants offer an elegant Table-Service option with a wide
    selection of choices and cuisines.

Each meal from a Signature Dining restaurant includes:
     • One (1) Appetizer
     • One (1) Entrée
     • One (1) Nonalcoholic Beverage
     • One (1) Dessert

You are more than welcome to order a smaller portion off the regular menu for your son, and not use his Dining Plan credits.

I hope this helps with your planning for your vacation. Thank you for using the Disney Parks Moms Panel as a planning resource! - Diane W.
