Hi! We have the deluxe dining plan for our October trip. I am trying to find out if we have reservations for table service for 4, and only 2 are hungry, will we be penalized if only 2 people eat at the table? I can't imagine the kids always eating.

    Hello Erin,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question. My family and I are huge fans of Disney Dining Plans, and we always add one to our Magic Your Way Vacation Package.

The situation you are concerned with happened to us a couple of times during our last visit with our daughter. Sometimes she was not hungry and just had milk when we got back to our Disney Resort hotel. It was never a problem not ordering anything for her.

You can redeem as many meals as you like when you use dining plan entitlements at table-service locations. This means it is fine to order for two Guests only. You will not be able to do so at buffet locations, character meals and dinner shows. For these locations you will have to use dining plan entitlements for each Guest in your party.

One final tip: some dining locations are extremely popular, so reservations are strongly advised and can be made up to 180 days in advance. You can make reservations online, by using the My Disney Experience mobile app or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you have an unforgettable visit.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
