If we have the deluxe dining plan and have meals left over the day we leave, can I give my magic band to my sister to use that night since they will still be there?

    Hi Hailey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Food at Walt Disney World Resort has really come into its own over the last few years. Gone are the days where your only choices are deep fried things on sticks. (Although, my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists Robyn, Tabitha and I had the cheeseburger spring rolls in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park last week and ohmygoodness, my mouth is watering thinking of them right now.) Your crew will find all kinds of amazing meals that range from gourmet goodness to social media super stars. I like to say that Disney is now like an Eat Park, too!

Theoretically, yes, you could leave your MagicBand behind for your extended family to use your leftover Disney Dining Plan meal or snack entitlements. Technically items like your theme park tickets, PhotoPass, Dining Plan and MagicBand charging privileges are still valid until 11:59 P.M. of your check-out day. So make sure that they have your PIN number memorized or saved so they can complete transactions.

If it were me, just to be sure that everything worked without a hitch, I'd keep a watchful tally of how we were doing on using our entitlements during our Disney Days and then use my entitlements to pick up my sister's tab while I was with her. This way there's less of a chance anything could go wrong, and also I wouldn't have to worry about losing any leftover Dining Plan entitlements once I left. Tracking your entitlements can easily be done on the My Disney Experience Mobile App, and you should also see a balance on any dining receipts you receive.

I hope this helped, Hailey, and We'll See You Real Soon!
