With the deluxe dining plan is there distinction between child and adult credits? Can I choose to convert a quick service child credit into 3 snacks to save my adult credits for better value?

    Hi ya Amber!

I’m so happy to hEAR that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort very soon! There are so many benefits to staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. My personal favorite is being able to add a Disney Dining Plan.

I can honestly say it was the Disney Dining Plan that won my husband over on our very first trip together to Walt Disney World Resort. You should have seen him, he could not believe the amount of options he had to choose from and I’m pretty sure he always had a Mickey shaped snack in hand.

When it comes to the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, everyone in your party, ages 3 and up, have dining entitlements. The dining entitlements include 3 meals and 2 snacks per person, each night of their package stay. The meals are not preselected meaning, you can enjoy a Quick-Service meal or Table-Service meal anytime. Or you don’t even have to enjoy a Quick-Service meal and simply only enjoy Table-Service meals. (Tip: Remember to make your dining reservations 180 days before your arrival at your favorite locations. Reservations tend to fill up quickly). Dining entitlements are split between adults and children. Children ages 3-9 do have to order from the children’s menu where available.

If you have any remaining meal entitlements at the end of your trip, or you simply wish to convert those meals into snacks, you can!  You can do that at the front desk of your Disney Resort Hotel or at the location you are trying to purchase snacks at. The remaining meal entitlements will not be meal specific, only age specific so adult meal or child’s meal. The Cast Member assisting you with the conversion will be able to give you more details on what snacks you are able to get in exchange of the meal entitlement.

    Bon appétit!
