How to delete a magic key

Hey there, Samantha! I’m so glad you reached out to us here at planDisney! You've got a question about deleting a Magic Key pass, and I'd love to help you get that figured out. Let's get started!

If you're looking to tidy up the Magic Key passes you see in your Disneyland mobile app—maybe an old one is sticking around, or you just want to keep things neat—it's usually pretty simple. Just pop open your Disneyland app, then tap on the main menu button (three-lined icon) at the bottom right. From there, select "My Tickets & Passes." That’s where all your digital passes are kept. You can then swipe through them until you find the Magic Key pass you’d like to delete. You should see a "Delete This Pass" button. Just tap that, and poof!—the pass should disappear from your account.

Now, if the delete button is playing a little game of hide-and-seek, or if you run into any other hiccups while you're in the app, don't you worry one bit! Just give the fantastic Cast Members at the Guest Information phone line a call. They're super helpful and can help you get this squared away in no time.

And, Samantha, if your question is about not renewing your own Magic Key pass when it expires, you actually don't need to do anything at all. Your pass will simply deactivate on its expiration date.

If that’s the case, I do hope you’ll hang onto your Magic Key a bit longer, Samantha! It’s such an awesome time to visit while the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration kicks off this summer. The resort will be commemorating seven decades of making dreams come true—how cool is that?! The whole place will be buzzing with excitement and that extra sprinkle of Disney magic.

Anniversary years at Disneyland are always a huge treat, and for this big 7-0, the resort is really pulling out all the stops! Sleeping Beauty Castle will be all dressed up with beautiful anniversary decorations, making it look even more like a fairy tale. The celebration also brings fantastic new shows returning favorites. Think awesome parades with amazing floats—like the Paint the Night parade—and all your favorite Disney Characters waving hello in their party best! Plus, you'll find lots of cool, limited-edition 70th Celebration merchandise in the shops—perfect for remembering such a special year. And let's not forget the food! The Disney chefs get super creative with deliciously themed snacks and festive drinks. But don’t just take my word for it—check out the Disneyland 70th Celebration Foodie Guide over on the Disney Parks Blog! It’s a fantastic time to enjoy all the iconic attractions, discover new entertainment options, and just soak in all the happy vibes that a big celebration like this brings.

I hope this helps you get your Magic Key all sorted, Samantha, and fingers crossed you get to enjoy some of the amazing 70th Celebration sparkle! If any more questions pop up, just give us a shout here at planDisney. We love to help!

    Have a super magical day!
