Surfs up, Seul-A! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your splash-tastic question with us.
There’s something for everyone at
Typhoon Lagoon. Crush ’n’ Gusher and Humunga Kowabunga are there for the thrill-seekers, and Castaway Creek is great for those looking to unwind. I have plans to visit Typhoon Lagoon on my next Walt Disney World trip and I can’t wait to explore this island paradise!
According to the water park safety policies (which you can find
here), flotation devices are not permitted past the solid red line in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool. The deepest part of the Surf Pool is about 12 feet, and I believe the red line is around 5 feet deep. There may be additional rules or guidelines specific to each attraction, so be sure to look for the safety sign or talk with a friendly Cast Member if you have more questions.
If the Surf Pool’s waves are a bit too intense for your kiddo, then
Ketchakiddee Creek may be more their speed. It’s specifically designed for kids under 4 feet tall, and it features mini waterslides, a cave with a waterfall, a small sandy beach, and more. You can also
search attractions at Typhoon Lagoon and all the other Disney theme parks based on age and height requirements, which can be a big help as you build your vacation itinerary.
I hope this information helps you plan a wonderful water park day, Seul-A. Don’t hesitate to swim right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
