Thanks for sailing back by planDisney before your cruise later this month, Ma Elizabeth. You’re headed to one of my favorite destinations on earth:
Disney Castaway Cay.
Every time my kids and I visit Castaway Cay, my daughter asks to participate in
Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure and then we go snorkeling immediately afterward. Granted, she was about twelve the first time we did this and she is twenty now! I discovered that the age requirement to snorkel is 5 years old, so unfortunately that means your three-year-old is still a little too young to participate (even though he may be feeling like Flounder trying to convince Ariel he’s not a Guppie).
While I understand that’s a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer, your little one can still be part of your world on the island. Make sure to visit the splash pad for younger children at Spring-A-Leak water play area. Complimentary life vests are available if you want to have fun together in the shallows at the Family Beach. Or just take a walk around the island to explore its natural beauty (and you might just find one of your favorite Disney pals dressed in island attire along the way!).
While there are so many incredible family activities on Castaway Cay, if you want some time to explore the adult-exclusive areas like Serenity Bay, you can check your child into Scuttle’s Cove. It’s available on a first-come, first-serve basis and as long as your little one is registered with the
Youth Club on board, it will be smooth sailing!
Flippin’ your fins will take you far on this trip, so I can’t wait for you to explore the Big Blue together with your family! If any other questions pop up, don’t hesitate to swim back to us here at
planDisney!
Bon voyage,
Sami
