How deep is Castaway Creek at WDW?

    Hi, Faith!

After walking for endless miles in the Walt Disney World theme parks, nothing beats floating on an inner tube at Castaway Creek in Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark!

Castaway Creek is between 3 - 4 feet deep. The entire roundtrip journey is a about a half-mile long, taking about 30 minutes. However, you can exit at any of the 5 landings along the way. There are inner tubes at each of the landings for you to hop into. Then all you have to do is lay back and relax! Warning: Put on sunscreen before entering! My "one lap" usually turns into 2 or 3 so plan ahead with that sun block to avoid burning.

Want more waterpark fun? Disney's Blizzard Beach Waterpark also offers a lazy river, water slides, and more fun in the sun! There is so much to see and do, you simply cannot do it all in just one Walt Disney World vacation!

Wishing you warm and sunny days during your magical stay!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
