How are the dedicated character meet and greets determined? Merida is my all-time favorite Disney princess and I've never seen her when I've been to the parks (Paris and Orlando). I'm going back in a month and Disney bounding as her.

    Royal Greetings, Stephanie!

Welcome to planDisney! It’s so nice to meet a princess like you. I can’t wait for you to arrive later this month, it's going to be magical. I’m even more excited to hear all about your Disney bounding. Bounding is such a fun way to visit and makes each visit even more special. My favorite princess is Jasmine. I love her story and determination so much! She’s truly special to me, so I understand the need to see your favorite princess.

I have heard that Merida can often be found at Cinderella’s Royal Table. If your schedule has time for it, you might want to consider scheduling a dining reservation to see her there. Otherwise, you can spot her during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! My kids describe this cavalcade as a mini parade.

This fun procession travels down Main Street, U.S.A. twice a day, so if you want to see her, plan to be somewhere on Main Street during showtime. This cavalcade makes two appearances each day. Once at 10:30 AM and the other at 11:45 AM. I would plan to arrive there with enough time to get a picture perfect view. Once you do see her, make sure to smile big and give a warm princess wave as she travels by.

I also recommend checking the different Character Experiences as you explore the theme parks. You never know who you might find! I am wishing on every star and looking for a magic lamp so that your dreams of meeting her can finally come true. In the meantime, continue to plan and know that every one of us here at planDisney is rooting for you!

Before I go, I want to leave you with one of my favorite questions I tend to ask myself when I feel down. As the brave Merideth once asked, “If you had the chance to change your fate, would you?” I always answer with a silent “no” because I know that I’m exactly where I need to be, and dreaming big is going to take me where I need to go. I hope this dream of yours comes true, Stephanie.

    Dream Big, Princess.

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
