Are the Christmas/Holiday decorations put up in the parks starting on November 1st? Then are the resorts decorated once the parks are finished? Thank you!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Robert. I’m glad you stopped by!

Christmas time at the Walt Disney World Resort is most definitely my favorite time of year to visit. There is no other place that decks the halls the way Disney does!

As a Florida resident, I get to visit the parks often, and let me tell you, the magic that happens when you see the parks transform from the fall and Halloween festivities to Christmas splendor is truly astounding! The transformation happens quickly and seamlessly without skipping a beat or missing a detail! In years past, this quick change happens during the first few days of November. I’m not aware of a specific date when it’s completed, but it sure does happen quickly! Both the parks and the resorts get decorated simultaneously.

If you are planning a visit during this time, be sure to check out the special holiday offerings that are not to be missed! My two favorites are the Candlelight Processional at Epcot- a glorious Christmas Storytelling event with stunning music by choirs and a full orchestra, that is included with your admission, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a special ticketed event at Magic Kingdom where you will enjoy all the Christmas cheer Disney can bring!

Thanks again for bringing us your question, Robert! Please do come back and see us again soon.
