Hi Richard!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you're planning, or have already booked, a Disney Cruise Line cruise on either the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy! Once we've chosen an itinerary, choosing our stateroom is the most important part of the planning process for my family. Using the
virtual deck plan allows us to see exactly where each room is located relative to all the fun happening onboard!
In my opinion, you will have the chance for the least amount of noise when your stateroom is located on Deck 10 if you choose a stateroom on Deck 10, Forward on the Port side of the ship. Directly above, there will be staterooms and the Senses Spa and Salon. If you have a stateroom on Deck 10, Midship, you'll be just a short elevator or stair climb to the pool deck and beverage station! Yum! The noise coming from the pool deck will be loudest during the most crowded hours of the day but there's a chance you will be up and around the pool deck, yourself, during these hours! Finally, staterooms on Deck 10, Aft will be located under
Cabanas. We've stayed below Cabanas and have heard sound coming from the restaurant and outside eating area in the morning and during the day but did not hear anything at night while we were sleeping. I must admit, I'm unaware of noise coming from the equipment rooms. I'm sorry I can't offer any guidance with that!
I hope my opinions were able to give you an idea of where/when you might hear noise if your stateroom is on Deck 10. If someone in your party enjoys catching an afternoon nap in the stateroom, I'd probably suggest you choose a location other than Deck 10.
Thank you for asking this question! Please don't hesitate to come back if you have more questions while planning your cruise!
