Hello again, Deborah!
Welcome back to
planDisney - I'm so glad you stopped by with another question! We're always here to help answer questions or provide guidance to help you plan an unforgettable Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
I must say, I'm not stumped by much, but this question is really a Herculean challenge for me. You see, I love Club Level oh so very much, but
Disney's Riviera Resort is my absolute favorite place to call home at Walt Disney World Resort! First and foremost, given that you mentioned that these two room options are similar in price, I'm assuming that the Club Level room at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a normal room that sleeps up to four adults. If you've found a Club Level Suite at Yacht Club that is similar in price to the 1-Bedroom Villa at the Riviera, there is not even a contest - take the Club Level Suite at Yacht Club!
I know from your previous question that you've enjoyed Club Level at Yacht Club in the past, and because of this, I think you're already well-versed in those benefits - it's simply fantastic! Also, you mentioned wanting to spend time exploring the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. If this is something you'll be doing more than once, the convenience of being able to walk right into the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT is truly fantastic, and you're also close to the dining, shopping, and entertainment of Disney's BoardWalk.
Now, moving over to the Riviera - what a magical Resort! If your Yacht Club room is a regular room with Club Level amenities, the 1-Bedroom Villa at the Riviera will be a significantly larger and more luxurious room, but this Resort does not offer Club Level amenities. The separate bedroom with a King Bed is beautiful, and the large bathroom includes a bubbling soaking tub, a huge walk-in shower, and two separate vanity areas. You'll also have a washer and dryer, and a full kitchen and dining area. In the living room, there is a pull down Queen-size bed - the best part is that this isn't a traditional sofa bed, it's a super comfortable regular Queen mattress! There is also a smaller single pull down bed in the living room perfect for most Guests (or at least anyone shorter than I am)! This layout is great for sharing, with one couple enjoying the separate bedroom and another three adults in the large living room area. The Riviera also has amazing dining options, two beautiful pools, and is located on the
Disney Skyliner, meaning you can easily get to both Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT!
If it were me, it would come down to how much time I planned on spending in the room. If you enjoy spending time relaxing in your room, the extra space in the Riviera's 1-Bedroom Villa will really be a treat. Plus, if you've never stayed there before, this is a great opportunity to experience this new Resort. If, on the other hand, you think you'd really take advantage of the Club Level amenities, or want to be able to more easily come and go between your Resort and EPCOT, then I think I would probably lean more towards the Yacht Club.
Depending on how long you plan on staying, you might want to consider a split stay and try them both! You can even have your luggage transferred from one Resort to the next by Bell Services, making these transitions very simple!
I hope this information helps as you continue planning -
please stop by again soon with any other questions!
