Hello Adrian in Illinois....I hope you are staying warm today as I am in Indiana and it is cold and snowy!  Planning for a warm Disney vacation will help!

I think that both of the resorts you have narrowed down to are right on for what I would suggest.  The transportation is really not going to be much different at either resort....busses run about every 15-20 minutes from the bus stops.  Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter do share the loop and usually they pick up first at French Quarter.  Crowds will seem greater at Pop Century due to the fact there is one bus stop for that resort.  It is a toss up as to which resort would be better for transportation.

If you are planning much down time in your room and resort I would definitely suggest Port Orleans.  It is a beautiful location and much quieter overall.  You have the ability to take a water taxi to Downtown Disney as well as some fun recreation opportunities at that resort.  Please check here to compare and see the amenities.  But If you need a room just to put your head on the pillow at night then I would suggest saving the money and head to Pop Century which is the newest of the value resorts.  Talk with your family and see what their interests are and decide from that.  I am sure your vacation will be memorable no matter which resort you choose!
